--Description;;
Lightstar is a light, cream-colored tabby she-cat. The main color of her body is a light cream, while her tabby markings are a darker brown. Her eyes are large and brown, often expressing her emotions more than what she says. She is powerful in her lower body--not as much in her upper body--from all her hard work training as a warrior. Like her mother, her paw pads are a light pink, and her nose a dark red. Her whiskers are white, and her paws are rather big, causing her to walk around with a rather strange-looking gait.

--Characteristics/Personality;;
Lightstar is considered a peaceful leader, but sometimes she can be blunt and ambitious. She is peaceful in that she doesn't like to kill or fight--but instead she argues with other cats. From listening to her brothers argue with other cats, she developed the habit of making sarcastic remarks and sometimes jokingly tease others. Often, however, when the thing is being argued on is a serious discussion, Lightstar will only say "Leave me out of this" and walk away. This proves that sometimes, Lightstar doesn't take much seriously and likes to make a big joke out of life. She can be blunt, but isn't mean spirited.
--Background Information;;
Lightstar was born in DuskClan to Spottedflower and Foxtail, two fairly young warriors who Lightstar always considered a mismatched couple. The relationship between Foxtail, Lightstar (then Lightpaw) and her siblings always seemed cold and distant, while her mother, Spottedflower, always was kind to Lightpaw and her siblings, but was kind of pushy, yet she pushed her kits around in a sort of forced-friendly way. Her sister and closest friend, Spottedpaw, always complained about how her mother and father never really saw eye to eye, like all the parents of her friends did. Lightpaw tried to keep a good attitude, but couldn't help but agree with her sister.
Lightpaw's brothers enjoyed teasing the apprentice about how she wanted to become the leader of DuskClan someday. It was unlikely to happen--there had never been a she-cat leader before. According to her brothers, if she wanted to be any more than a warrior, she would have to become a medicine cat. The four got in a huge argument about this, and Lightpaw never knew, and still doesn't know, that the leader of DuskClan was listening in on them the entire time. The leader's name was Tornstar, and he liked Lightpaw's spunk. He never really thought about female leaders or deputies--he always thought of she-cats as medicine cats or warriors in the clan, like Lightpaw's brothers--but thought over it for several days, and decided that if DuskClan ever needed a new deputy at the time when Lightpaw became a warrior, he would surely choose her.
There were only two moons left of Lightpaw's training as a warrior. She and her siblings were becoming great apprentices, but Spottedpaw's mentor always noted that the young apprentice seemed more shy and withdrawn than her family--a thought that was spread over in gossip to Foxtail. Outraged, he went to Spottedpaw's mentor, blaming her for not teaching his daughter to be the warrior he wanted her to be. This was very unlike him--usually he was as withdrawn as his own daughter herself.
The mentor retorted that it wasn't her fault that her apprentice's personality was just like his. In a fit of rage, Foxtail attacked the warrior, killing her almost instantly--although he didn't mean to. Horrified, he ran off, trying to think of an excuse.
No one knew that Spottedpaw was watching the entire time.
The next day, Spottedpaw spoke to Lightpaw about it, saying that she wanted to leave DuskClan forever because her father and her mentor didn't think she was good enough to be a warrior. Lightpaw was horrified at the thought that her beloved sister would ever leave her, and begged her not to go, but she told Lightpaw her mind was made up, and her only reaction was silence. The next day, there was an announcement that Spottedpaw had ran away to MistClan, where she wanted to train as a medicine cat. Tornstar felt sorry for Lightpaw and her siblings, and he gave them their warrior names that same day.
Tornstar was yet to forget his decision about Lightpaw, who became Lightstorm, becoming deputy if it was needed. However, Lightstorm needed an apprentice to become deputy, and he thought Lightstorm was too young to have one. A few moons passed, and a young kit became an apprentice, training under Lightstorm. Lightstorm loved her apprentice, as she was a distant relative of hers, and also was even-tempered and really looked up to Lightstorm. It felt like it took ages for the kit to become a warrior to other cats, but it happened very quickly for Lightstorm.
The deputy of DuskClan was growing old. He was stubborn, however, and didn't want to give up his spot as deputy any time soon, although Tornstar beseeched him to. He gave in, mainly because he had hurt his leg badly a few days earlier hunting.
Everyone was wondering who would be chosen as deputy that morning the deputy retired. That evening, Tornstar happened to choose Lightstorm.
Most of the toms were shocked that Tornstar chose the young she-cat as deputy. She was only eighteen moons old. One cat even called out, "StarClan never intended for a she-cat to be deputy!" Lightstorm simply retorted that StarClan probably wasn't that interested in who was deputy as long as someone like them wasn't chosen. This certainly quieted the other toms down a bit, and it stayed that way for several moons, except for the occasional irritated comment from one of them.
For some reason, Lightstorm had never thought about how she would have to lead the Clan some day. She had always thought she would stay deputy forever, although that was certainly not the case. Tornstar was growing old himself, and to the panicked Lightstorm, he seemed to age seven moons every day. Tornstar tried to calm his young deputy down, but warned her that soon her time would come, according to a message that was sent from StarClan.
Indeed, it happened.
About four days later, the leader was dead. No one knows how he died--probably of old age. Lightstorm became Lightstar, and has been that way for about seven moons.
--Example of RPing;;
Lightstar stretched in the back of her den, for a moment not knowing where she was. This usually happened--sometimes it was a bit calming for her, even. She looked up at Flamepelt, who had appeared at the foot of her den. He dropped a magpie at her paws. "Go ahead and eat this. I caught it on the dawn patrol this morning. You haven't eaten in two days, and you seem kind of low-energy." he said gruffly.
"Thanks." Lightstar replied. Food supplies had been low, and so she made sure she kept a small stash of mice in the back of her den for herself, which no one had found out about yet. It was still nice. she thought, getting up and stretching again.
--Other;;
Yay, leader *jumps up and down* If anyone wants to adopt their siblings, feel free to do so. I added in the bit about Spottedpaw/tail becoming a medicine cat apprentice for the heck of it, so if you want your own original character to be the medicine cat of MistClan, go ahead and do that. If you're too lazy to make a completely original character, adopt while you can. ^-^
